Tempelhofer Field is always the best part of the POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair. That's where Daniel Chluba and I were chilling with our 4-euro-cappuccinos. We had to pay cash because the card machine wasn't working... I didn't test if the gallery booths had the same problem.
Talking money, apparently there was an interesting paywall for participation in the fair. The gallery had to pay the booth fee 100 % and then afterwards they got 70% back as a support in these Covid-times. Huh.
And that's all the gossip I got. There was a limit of 700 visitors to the hangars and it wasn't the usual hustle and bustle. It was also still early Saturday. A gallerist told me they hadn't sold anything since the opening on Thursday but, as a good salesperson, she added that the expectations for the weekend were high.
